WHAT IS THIS?

This is a long-term contract paying UT-Battelle LLC to manage and operate Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Tennessee on behalf of the Department of Energy (DOE). The money covers the day-to-day running of the lab, including paying staff, maintaining facilities, and carrying out scientific research.

WHY WAS THIS FUNDED?
